Jordi Farre is convinced that Messi wants to stay at Barca.
He says his team have already offered Leo a ‘life project’.
Farre adds that he wants to make Messi ‘the Michael Jordan of the Chicago Bulls’.
“We have already spoken to Messi’s family; we have presented them with a project. Leo is going to stay, we are very clear about that because Leo wants to stay,” presidential candidate Jordi Farre has told Radio MARCA.
“We have to give Messi a life project. I want him to be the honorary president of the club. I want to turn Messi into the Michael Jordan of the Chicago Bulls. And help him create a Messi brand, as Jordan did, to give him continuity,” he added.
Michael Jordan was one of the greatest basketball players, spending more than 10 years with the Chicago Bulls.
Farre may want to re-think his comparisons though: Jordan did not retire as a Bull, playing his last two seasons with the Washington Wizards. He then proceeded to own a different NBA club, the Charlotte Hornets. Besides, Jordan has never been the president of the Chicago Bulls.
