Osasuna’s midfielder Roberto Torres believes Barca should have respected Messi’s decision to leave.
He also says Leo is an ultimate standard.
“You have to put out a red carpet for Messi wherever he steps,” Osasuna’s midfielder Roberto Torres told Diario Sport.
On Leo’s attempt to leave, he concluded: “He has all the right in the world to think what he wants at all times, whether to stay at Barca or to live an experience elsewhere. Above all, you have to respect him. He deserves enormous respect.”
The 31-year-old concluded: “Messi is always a standard, whatever form he is in or what people want to say about him. He is the best in the world.”
Leo has had some tough times recently: former president Josep Maria Bartomeu refused to let him leave in August while the media keep making Messi a scapegoat for all Barca’s problems.
As for Roberto Torres, he is Osasuna’s true star, playing for the club since 2012.
Barca host Osasuna on Sunday, kick-off is at 14:00 CET.
