Here’s how our players performed against Osasuna.
- Antoine Griezmann — 9.5
Ronald Koeman used the Frenchman as an attacking midfielder, and Griezmann went on to produce a marvellous performance, recording a stunner of a goal and an assist. Griezmann was very active upfront and linked up perfectly with Messi and Coutinho.
- Leo Messi — 9
The Argentine played a major part in Barca’s first two goals and went on to score himself in the second half. Leo finally looks more and more like his old self, he really needed that rest. Besides, he scored from open play which means more good news for Messi.
- Philippe Coutinho — 8
Coutinho’s finishing could’ve been better but he got his goal in the end. The Brazilian played on the left wing against Osasuna and did not disappoint. He’s recently recovered from his injury and hopefully will get even better.
- Oscar Mingueza — 7.5
We rejoiced at Mingueza’s defending skills on his debut but today he showed that he’s actually a top passer as well. It’s as if he’s been playing at Barca for 13 years. Oh wait, that’s actually true.
- Pedri — 6
Pedri started the match as a defensive midfielder but the coach subbed him off at half time after a mediocre performance in the first 45 minutes. The youngster had a few good moments as well. However, it’s clear that Pedri is a player that should be used higher up the pitch.
Others: Ter Stegen — 7.5, Dest — 7, Lenglet — 7, Jordi Alba — 8, De Jong — 7.5, Braithwaite — 7, Busquets — 6.5, Trincao — 7, Dembele — 7, Alena — 7, Firpo — 6.5.
