Barca fired Setien after eight months in charge.
Former Barcelona coach Quique Setien has started a lawsuit against his ex-club for breach of contract, reputable Catalunya Radio report.
The club replaced Setien with Ronald Koeman ahead of the 2020/21 season and compensated him for ending the contract prematurely.
However, Quique claims that he wasn’t paid the full sum, and, through his lawyer, demands that Barca pay him the remaining amount, Diario AS add.
Unlike Setien, Eder Sarabia and the other assistants have reached an agreement with the club to end their deals despite not being paid in full.
Initially, the Catalans offered the 62-year-old a contract for one and a half seasons but fired him in summer after going trophyless for the first time in 12 years.
