The disengaged beneficiaries of the Federal Government’s N-Power scheme have uniformly voiced out that the NEXIT Portal launch which was announced last Friday is “a scam”, Afriupdate understands.
This reporter monitored comments on social networking services and reached out to a few Batch A and B beneficiaries.
The feedback is that the NEXIT portal has never been reachable since Monday that it was made public by Nigerian authorities.
Odetunde Elizabeth told this reporter: “the site na scam”.
Faithmary Nkiruka said: “Fake. It’s not real.”
Another beneficiary, Awe Kayode said he has been on it throughout the night (Tuesday till Wednesday), but “it does not open beyond the front page”.

Meanwhile, Nneka Ikem, the Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development (Sadiya Farouq) claimed that many exited N-Power beneficiaries are having trouble logging in to the NEXIT portal due to “heavy traffic”.
Ikem made this known on her known Twitter handle on Monday afternoon.
Recall that Afriupdate had earlier reported that Federal Government of Nigeria finally released the NEXIT Portal (N-Power portal).
The NEXIT portal, this onlinenews medium understands, will enable exited N-Power beneficiaries to apply for the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) empowerment options.
Meanwhile, at the time no portal link was made available by the Nigerian authorities, the exited N-Power beneficiaries who have been thrown out of the famed scheme since at least July 2020 were dismayed.
In the interval, when Afriupdate News tried visiting the released NEXT portal (nexit-fmhds.cbn.gov.ng/), it displayed ‘This site can’t be reached’. This reporter tried at least five times.
