Font was frustrated with Barca’s 2-1 loss to Cadiz.
The presidential candidate encourages the team to turn the things around.
“Night of total frustration. While we encourage the team to get up, it is clear that Barca needs a solid project that turns the club upside down. Long live Barca,” presidential candidate Victor Font tweeted after the Catalans’ loss to Cadiz.
Against Cadiz, Barcelona registered their fourth league loss of the season. They currently sit in seventh place in La Liga but are 12 points behind league leaders Atletico Madrid and just three points above the relegation zone.
Speaking about Font’s project, the presidential candidate wants to bring Xavi back to the club as either the first-team coach or general manager. The 48-year-old has said that Xavi could decide to keep Ronald Koeman as a coach if the Dutchman will be showing good results.
