The Barcelona youngster was pipped to the Golden Boy award by Erling Haaland but claimed the prize’s web version.
Ansu Fati has won the Web Golden Boy award, Tuttosport confirmed on Monday.
The Golden Boy prize was established by the Italian outlet in 2003.
In 2020, the Barcelona youngster was pipped to the major award by Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.
Fati, however, claimed the prize’s web version by winning the poll on Tuttosport’s website.
“I want to thank everyone who voted for me. I also want to congratulate Haaland on getting first place. He had a great year,” the 18-year-old said.
