Kenya’s ministry of health on Monday confirmed 114 new cases of COVID-19 from 2,507 samples tested, bringing the number of confirmed positive infections to 94,614.
The number of samples tested for the diseases had risen to 1,011,025, according to the ministry of health.
Out of the 114 cases, 100 are Kenyans while 14 are foreigners.
The ministry also stated that 325 patients recovered from the virus with 256 on the home-based care program while 69 were discharged from various hospitals bringing the total number of recoveries to 76,060.

Currently, there are 850 patients admitted to various health facilities across the country while 5,873 are on home based isolation and care.
The ministry stated the death toll from the virus had also risen to 1,644 after five more patients succumbed to the virus.
The Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union on Monday joined nurses and clinical workers in protest at inadequate protective equipment and lack of insurance to cover medical bills if they fall ill while treating COVID-19 patients.
