Manchester United are reportedly planning to make a January loan move for Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele.
The 20-times English champions were heavily linked with the France international over the summer, however, were unable to agree a new contract with Ronald Koeman’s team before the window closed.
The 23-year-old Frenchman has been a regular for the Catalan giants this campaign, scoring three goals and providing one assist in nine games in all competitions, however, the World Cup winner’s long-term future at Spanish giants is up in the air.
Dembele’s current contract deal with the La Liga heavyweights is set to expire in June 2022, and Serie A champions, Juventus are believed to be keeping a close tabs on the developments surrounding the French forward.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils are not interested in signing the Frenchman on a permanent basis in January, however, will attempt to loan him for the rest of the 2020/21 season with an option to make his move permanent next summer.
Dembele has largely struggled with injuries since arriving at Nou Camp, however, has now been involved in Barca’s last five La Liga games, playing the full 90 minutes against Atletico Madrid earlier last week.
