Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini has confirmed that Amad Diallo will be heading to Manchester United during the current transfer window.
The Red Devils agreed to sign Diallo in the summer, but he could not officially join them due to work permit and passport issues.
Both have been sorted over the past few months and Gasperini has confirmed that Diallo will be joining the Red Devils in the coming days.
“It’s difficult [to keep Diallo until the end of the season] because Manchester United want him to join the club immediately in January. Amad received his passport,” He told Sky Italia.

Atalanta had obviously wanted Diallo to spend the second half of the season on loan, but United’s hierarchy have rejected the proposal as they want the youngster to adapt to new surroundings as soon as possible.
Diallo is expected to link up with the development squad for the rest of the campaign. He should be integrated into the first-team plans for the 2021/2022 season and beyond.
