The young goalkeeper is excited to potentially be part of his first Manchester Derby with the senior team.
Henderson urges his side to take the fight to City and have a go at them right from the get-go in the Carabao Cup semi-finals clash.
Speaking ahead of the Carabao Cup semi-finals against Man City, Dean Henderson told Man United’s official website: “Listen, it’s a completely different ball game from Academy level to first team, so this one will mean a lot.
“But obviously the vibe will be massive throughout the city. The city is mostly red, and we need to paint it red. But we’re getting better all the time, so hopefully we can get a good result.
“One team has got to win it, so I think both teams will go for it. We’ll probably take the game to them and have a go, and see what comes off.”
Well, this is the kind of mentality which the players must display in the big Manchester Derby on Wednesday. After the boring 0-0 draw with City in the Premier League last month, the Red Devils will be aiming for a much-improved performance and shove aside City to take one step closer to a trophy by moving into the Carabao Cup final.
