Ray Parlour has backed Aaron Ramsey to return to English football, with Manchester United linked with a shock transfer move.
The Welshman was a key player for the Gunners as he made more than 350 appearances for the club over a decade in north London, but after failing to agree a new contract at the Emirates, he left for Juventus on a free transfer in 2019.
However, The 30-year-old has struggled for form and fitness since joining the Serie A giants – and has featured in just ten league matches this term – with most of appearances coming off the bench, with reports continually linking him back with a move to English football.
And there has been some shock rumours that United will decide to make an offer to bring him back to the Emirates, and although Parlour believes Ramsey will return to the Premier League – he isnt sure on that.
Parlour said on the TalkSport website: “I’m not too sure. He’s doing well at Juventus at the moment and enjoying his football.
“He’s been a top professional his whole career, the way he conducted himself when he left Arsenal.
“He probably wanted to stay but at that moment in time they didn’t want to give him the wages he wanted.

“He was a brilliant player and I’m sure one day he will come back. He’ll probably finish his career in England – we don’t know where it’s gonna be.”
It is a shame to see that Ramsey has failed to make any impact at Juve, but at the end of the day, this would no longer be a good move for the Red Devils to make. They would just be signing a player that spends alot of time on the bench injured.
