Players like Leo Messi ‘will always be on PSG’s list’, according to the Parisians’ sporting director Leonardo said earlier this week.
Koeman has played down the significance of Leonardo’s claim.
“If you ask me if I have interest in Neymar or Mbappe I’ll say yes, so it’s the same,” Ronald Koeman told the pre-Cornella presser when asked about Leonardo’s recent claim about Lionel Messi, as quoted by Goal.
“We do not know what will happen and I cannot comment on them (the rumours about Messi leaving), I only know that we seek to have the best possible squad.”
Earlier this week, Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo claimed that ‘great players like Leo Messi will always be on Paris Saint-Germain’s list’.
The 33-year-old won’t renew his contract with Barcelona until the end of the season and thus he remains heavily linked with a move to the likes of PSG, Inter Milan and Man City.
