The Aston Villa leader has been linked with Man United for quite a while.
United’s longest-serving captain Robson praises Grealish as a powerful and quick player.
He does not know for sure whether the club hierarchy are indeed interested in the player, though.
“It was a good decision giving him [Jack Grealish] the [Aston Villa] captaincy. I think it’s made him a bit more mature,” Man United legendary captain Bryan Robson told Goal.
“He’s a powerful player. He’s quite a strong boy and he’s quick and the way he can sort of go either way past people he’s always going to be a danger and that’s why he gets so many free kicks.
“Him and Villa have been terrific this season. He’s been linked with us but those decisions, thank goodness, are with Ole and the board of directors.
“I wouldn’t mind seeing Jack Grealish in a Manchester United shirt. But I don’t know whether the staff at Old Trafford fancy him, as much as you’d like to see him playing for your club.”
There might be some good news for Captain Marvel, then: according to The Athletic, United indeed are interested in Grealish who has already scored 6 goals and provided 7 assists during this Premier League season.
Aston Villa have managed to secure a new long-term contract for the 25-year-old, so he won’t come cheaply. It means that United will need to make a massive sale of their own to raise funds for the move.
