We would’ve laughed at it if some of our rivals were in TOni’s place.
It finally happened: Chelsea conceded their first goal of the Thomas Tuchel era, and the scorer was… Antonio Rudiger.
The centre-back who has been the mainstay under Tuchel has made a calamitous pass back to Edouard Mendy who was in no position to receive it.
Fortunately, Chelsea have taken the advantage back since then thanks to Jorginho’s penalty – and yet the fans’ reaction to Rudiger’s blunder is quite understandable.
Maybe that needed to happen for Tuchel to see what a liability Rudiger is

Fik deserves an apology when he returns in the summer. He's twice the player Rudiger is and he was loaned out

I hope Rüdiger will be looking up some nice places for lunch after the game. He bloody owes Jorginho a nice one, that's for sure.

After the events of the last few weeks, it is ironic that our first goal conceded under Thomas Tuchel was a Rüdiger own goal

Rudiger being a defender for us in 2021 was bound to punish us.

That said, the own goal is probably the only mistake Rudiger has made so far – but it could’ve proven very costly indeed.
