The gaffer says that the cruel schedule is a reason why he had to make 5 changes from the game vs West Ham.
He also wants United to be more ruthless in front of goal to get the job done earlier against West Brom.
Speaking ahead of Man United’s game vs West Brom, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “It’s a relentless season and the scheduling of course is not kind. We need to try and keep as fresh a team as possible and be ready, both mentally and physically. It’s about keeping a tightness in the group. We’ve lost a few players, some injuries and some we sent out on loan.
“Everyone now knows within the squad that they’ll be asked to contribute and we just want to keep going!”
“Edinson (Cavani) still looks young when he’s on the pitch. Hopefully, we have something to cheer about after the game. But today it’s about coming here, doing a professional job. We know it won’t be enjoyable until we score a few goals. We must dig in and be professional.”
“Attitude is vital in football. If you work hard, do all the basics right and earn the right to play your football. Then the talent and skills to come through. Hopefully, we can create chances. Then we need to take them and be ruthless in front of goal. You don’t like too many games going to the wire as we have done too many times this season.”
United have maintained an amazing record in away Premier League games this season and aim to continue that with a big win over the Baggies.
