Operatives of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) have arrested no fewer than eight persons in connection with the kidnap of former Governor Joshua Dariye’s father.
The Guardian gathered yesterday that the operatives swooped on the suspects at various locations in Bokkos Local Council and other parts of the state.
Some residents in Bokkos, who witnessed the arrest, told newsmen in Jos that the suspects, including a civil servant and another prominent person in the local council, had been moved to Abuja for interrogation.
However, a police spokesman in the state, Ubah Ogaba, told journalists that the command was aware of the arrest.
