Paul Pogba – 8/10
It was a fantastic return to action for the Frenchman, who won 6 ground duels in the first half itself. He also won the penalty, which Cristiano Ronaldo missed.
Pogba was effective and sharp in the second half as well. He played deeper than Fred usually does and it worked out.
Bruno Fernandes – 7/10
Bruno clearly forgot to bring his shooting boots to Old Trafford.
Although a bright performance, the Portuguese missed numerous clear-cut chances – including an open goal.
Had he scored even one of those, his rating would have been higher as he was our chief creator once again.
Jadon Sancho – 8/10
Finally, his first Old Trafford goal in front of a packed audience!
Sancho also created plenty of chances for both Ronaldo and Rashford, which they both failed to convert.
The English winger deserved to have another goal to his name for that near-flawless performance.
Cristiano Ronaldo – 4/10
Missed a penalty from the spot along with many other chances which he could have easily scored from.
After a goalless January, the pressure is piling on the 36-year-old. His performance against Middlesbrough was bang average and we expect better from him.
Had a few chances in extra time as well but led to nothing really.
Diogo Dalot – 7/10
The defender created two solid chances in the first half and also supplied some impressive long passes. Did well to work with Pogba and McTominay in midfield, often playing higher up.
The rest: Henderson – 5/10, Maguire – 6/10, Shaw – 6/10, McTominay – 7/10, Varane – 8/10, Rashford – 5/10.
Subs: Fred – 6/10, Elanga – 5/10, Mata – 6/10, Jones – 6/10.
