“We were looking for players for the next [2004/05] season and one day, we were watching a Hospitalet game. That boy [Adama] from the La Florida neighbourhood caught our attention,” Adama Traore’s former coach Jordi Condom has told Marca.
“We saw how he played against the rival goalkeeper. There was an episode in which he took a long-distance shot, then took off and recovered the ball without it touching the ground.
“We followed him. He impressed us and then we [Barcelona] signed him [in 2004],” he concluded.
Seems like Adama’s speed has always been his best attribute – even when he was a kid!
Adama Traore was part of Blaugrana between 2004 and 2015. Seven years later, he would come back to the club as a loanee.
