Sten Christensen, the father of Andreas Christensen, wanted his son to either extend his contract with Chelsea or stay in the Premier League, Diario Sport claimed. This would have earned the defender more money.
However, Christensen decided to accept a lower offer in order to join Barcelona.
The 25-year-old was firm in his decision to move to Camp Nou. Playing for Barca was his dream and he was attracted by Xavi’s promising project.
As per the latest rumors, Christensen will sign a pre-agreement with Barca in the coming days. He will join us as a free agent in the summer.
