The English giants are keen on signing a replacement for Rudiger and have been tracking Kounde for months.
It may come down to who has the most financial muscle in the end as Sevilla only wants money for their star defender.
Kounde’s departure will be set in motion if a club triggers his €80m release clause.
While Barcelona are seriously interested, it doesn’t look like they will be ready to cough out that much cash.
