Barcelona ‘will promote’ Ez Abde to the first team if Ousmane Dembele leaves the club in the summer, reports Diario Sport’s Lluis Miguelsanz.
The club reportedly has told the Moroccan that he is going to be part of the senior team next season – although he was initially expected to be sold.
Dembele aside, Adama Traore, Francisco Trincao and Alex Collado are very likely to leave the club in the summer – this is why better squad depth is needed on the right wing.
Barca would only sign Leeds United’s Raphinha as a Dembele replacement.
Abde has made 11 appearances for Barcelona, scoring one goal. The 20-year-old also played 20 games for Barca B this season, scoring twice and recording 7 assists.
