Credible journalist Helena Condis has provided an update on negotiations between Gavi and Barcelona over a new contract.
“His agent has already received the written offer from FCB, which he waited 3 weeks for,” she tweeted.
“The next step: another [agent] De La Peña – club meeting, although there is no date yet.
“The parties believe that it would be a mistake not to reach an agreement in this negotiation, which took longer than expected.”
Gavi’s current deal expires in 2023. The 17-year-old reportedly earns just €300,000 per year on his current contract.
