Barcelona and Manchester United met face-to-face on Tuesday over the transfer of Frenkie de Jong, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Both parties were still unable to reach an agreement as Barca refuses to lower their valuation below €86m.
There are reports in England claiming Frenkie wants to play in Manchester.
Barcelona are not hard-pressed to sell Frenkie anymore after activating their economic levers last week.
If the Dutchman eventually leaves, Bernardo Silva has been tipped as his replacement.
