Chelsea are reportedly willing to offer Christian Pulisic to Napoli in exchange for Victor Osimhen in an audacious player-plus-cash transfer, writes talksport.com.
The 24-year-old has been one of the standout players in Europe this season where he has spearheaded his side to the top of the Serie A table.
His 21 top-flight goals have helped the Naples outfit go 19 points clear with the club on course to secure their first title since 1990.
He has also fired Napoli into the quarterfinals of the Champions League, where they have a favourable route into reaching the final on June 10.
As well as Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United have also been linked with the Nigeria international, with talkSPORT understanding he is valued at more than £100 million. But according to Calciomercato, the Blues are looking to steal a march on their Premier League rivals by offering American winger, Pulisic.
Pulisic made the move to Stamford Bridge from Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth around £58 million, but has struggled for consistency in England.
The Italian news outlet has stated that the 24-year-old could be used as bait by Chelsea, with owner Todd Boehly to also offer Napoli money.
Though the report failed to mention how much Chelsea would be prepared to hand over along with serving up Pulisic. And there is no indication whether Napoli would be prepared to accept such a deal.
Nevertheless, Chelsea are determined to prise Osimhen away from Italy after identifying him as the ‘right profile’ to lead their line.
Osimhen has made it no secret that he intends to play in England in the future after stating it is his ‘dream’.
He said: “I think playing in one of the top five leagues in the world (Serie A) is an amazing feeling for me.
“A lot of people worldwide consider the Premier League as the best and the strongest league. But now I’m in one of the best leagues in the world, which is the Italian Serie A.
“I’m working so hard to make sure that I achieve my dream of playing in the Premier League some day. But like I said, it’s a process and I just want to keep on this momentum and continue to do well.”
