Beyoncé recently expressed in a not-so-subtle picture that she’s literally behind her husband Jay-Z at all times. Moreover, she just added yet another photo dump on Instagram with the two of them looking sharp and luxurious on a dinner date. Amid oysters, wine glasses, and simple black and beige fits, they showed once again why they’re one of the richest pop culture couples in both wealth and spirit. While Hov posed with a poker face for the camera, the singer popped her head out from behind him with a smile. As she continues her incredibly hyped Renaissance tour, at least she’s having fun off the stage as well.
Naturally, it’s an extravagant post for an extravagant couple, who have been making headlines recently for their outrageous homeowner maneuvers. In addition, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have just recently purchased the most costly mansion in all of Malibu, as well as the second-most expensive real estate property in the entire country. In addition to this, they have no plans to liquidate their 88 million-dollar mansion in Bel Air in order to make up for it. Then again, should we really be surprised by this coming from one of the most high-profile partners of the modern era?
Jay-Z & Beyoncé Keep Embodying Couple Goals
Despite this, they are best recognized and lauded for the contributions to culture that they have made, whether it be through their music or in other fields. For Beyoncé, this has lately revealed itself in a significant way alongside another celebrity, Kendrick Lamar, with whom she occasionally collaborates and who is also a star. They collaborated on an updated version of the song “America Has a Problem” by the 41-year-old artist Renaissance. The song was successful in making a large splash and was a nice treat coming from two legends. However, the song was able to be successful because it struck a healthy balance between the societal themes that the title indicates and a pop sensibility. If there were any competitors who were capable of achieving such a feat, it would be the two most well-known champions in their respective disciplines.
Meanwhile, the New York rap mogul had a similarly surprising but welcome new remix release of his own with an “Empire State Of Mind” reimagining with Gil Scott-Heron. Sure, the lyrics might be the same, but the distinct percussive and melodic additions give the opulent original a grounded groove. Overall, it’s a different take on a classic that re-contextualizes its subject matter. Their work continues to be just as relevant as their hype, and remains impactful no matter what they’re up to in their private lives.
