As part of its new interactive Build and Race show, which will be launching in the summer at the LEGOLAND Billund Resort in Denmark, a full-scale LEGO® Ferrari Monza SP1 has been unveiled. The creation comes as a follow-up to the unveiling of a life-sized LEGO Ferrari F40 at LEGOLAND California in the previous year.
Everything on the car, with the exception of the wheels and tires, was constructed out of LEGO bricks, even the side mirrors and the license plate. This model is a lifelike recreation of the most powerful V12 that ever left the gates of Maranello.
Guests of any age will be encouraged to construct their very own version of a Ferrari, have it scanned, and then put it through its paces on a virtual racetrack that is styled after Ferrari’s actual proving grounds in Fiorano, which are located in Italy.
“Ferrari is a world-known brand, setting the standard for luxury and excellence within the automotive world,” said Christian Woller, the CEO of LEGOLAND® Billund, in reference to the cooperation. “We are looking forward to presenting a brand-new type of interactive attraction in collaboration with Ferrari,” Woller continued.
In the latter part of 2018, a Build and Race attraction will also make its way to the British LEGOLAND location.
