As reported by TNT Sports, Marcelo Gallardo is now on Barcelona’s radar. The 43-year-old currently coaches River Plate and leads his team that looks set to reach their second consecutive Copa Libertadores final after winning the competition a year ago.
Gallardo’s deal at River Plate lasts until 2021. Besides, he has recently committed to the club by signing a new contract. Thus, it won’t be easy for the Catalans to bring Gallardo at Camp Nou.
The Argentinian has been coaching River Plate for five years now. Under his guidance, the Millionaires have won 10 trophies as Gallardo is now considered as one of the best coaches in the club’s history.
