- That is the opinion of France legend Frank Leboeuf.
- The World Cup winner believes the Norwegian is partly responsible for United’s downfall.
- The Frenchman wants to see the Red Devils go for available Pochettino as soon as possible.
Man United have been urged to get rid of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and appoint former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino by France icon Frank Leboeuf.
Speaking on ESPN FC about the Norwegian’s future, the Frenchman said: “Well it’s maybe the time. I think Solskjaer is not the only one responsible but we can see that he has a hard time to change things.
“If you bring Pochettino and you are ready to change the structure of the team, of the club, maybe you can achieve something. But you have to do so because otherwise it’s going to last another decade with average players.
“It’s not possible for United to go deeper than they are right now because I’ve never seen United like that. So something has to be changed right now to not be too much disappointed and be able to reverse the problem.”
Pochettino is reportedly looking to make his return to management following his sacking at Tottenham two months ago.
However, the United board are said to be willing to afford extra patience to Solskjaer after buying into the Norwegian’s long-term Old Trafford project.
