- The Red Devils made an initial offer of around £42.5m earlier this month.
- Sporting are looking for around £50m.
- The latest £46.4m bid was submitted this weekend.
According to The Times, Man United have submitted an increased offer of £46.4m plus including performance-related bonuses for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
The midfielder re-emerged as a target for the Red Devils in January after United’s failed pursuit for the 25-year-old last summer. The initial offer of around £42.5m plus bonuses was made earlier this month but the Portuguese side rejected it.
Sporting are looking for around £50m for their prized asset but United believe their latest bid would be enough to land the Portugal international in January.
Bruno is said to be ‘desperate’ to join the Red Devils this month and is ‘becoming annoyed’ with the current stalemate in the negotiations between United and Sporting.
