Nigeria on Wednesday announced that the country’s death toll from the novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) rose to 200.
Afriupdate reports that official data from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday evening showed that eight new COVID-19 deaths were recorded.
Around 38, 231 people have been tested across the country and 1, 840 of the 6, 677 people who contracted the virus have recovered.
In Nigeria, where the coronavirus measures began to be alleviated, the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19 (PTF) cautioned churches, mosques and businesses to prepare for a change in the way they have always operated.
Meanwhile, some states have lifted ban on religious activities despite spike in coronavirus cases in the country.
