Tragedy hits Benue community as a family of three were killed by thunder strike on Saturday night in Tarau Gwer local government area in Benue state.
Afriupdate News learnt that the family died on the spot after the thatch house they were sleeping in was struck by a thunder folllowing a heavy rainfall on Saturday.
It was further learnt that the family which comprises a man, his wife and their five (5) year old son died in the incident which has thrown the entire community into mourning.
According to an eyewitness identified as Peter Kembe, the incident is the first of its kind in the village.
In a related news, this online news medium had reported that a Catholic president identified aa Reverend Father David Echioda has been abducted by suspected gunmen in Otukpo area of Benue state.
Afriupdate gathered that Reverend Echioda was kidnapped along Alla-Akpa Road while returning from Sunday mass at Utonkon, Ado Local Government Area of the state on Sunday March 1st.
