Several newspapers on Wednesday report that Liverpool are considering a move for Norwich left-back Jamal Lewis.
Times reporter Paul Joyce and the Independent’s Melissa Reddy are two of the writers who have revealed Liverpool’s interest in Norwich’s full-back.
Of course, Norwich were relegated from the Premier League this season back into the Championship.
Lewis, 22, made 33 appearances for Norwich last season in all competitions. He scored one goal in the Premier League.

The Northern Ireland international defender is under contract at Carrow Road until 2023.
The Times have reported the following:
Liverpool are monitoring Jamal Lewis with their interest in the Norwich City defender dependent on whether he is prepared to join initially as a squad player.
Does Jamal Lewis want to join Liverpool?
The Independent’s Melissa Reddy suggests that Liverpool might struggle to sign Lewis.
While it’s assumed that the defender would be keen on joining the champions, the fact that Lewis would likely be a bench player at Anfield is a key factor.
From Liverpool’s perspective, Lewis would be a great back-up for Robertson. Lewis would jump above James Milner in the pecking order.
Yet, Melissa Reddy notes that other clubs may soon show their hands over Lewis, and the defender could be swayed to sign for another club:
Lewis won’t be short of offers and may plump for greater game time elsewhere if it still serves his long-term advancement.
For the record, Melissa Reddy fails to list any other clubs who could try to sign the Norwich defender.
Yet, in a sign of how Liverpool are weighing up the likelihood of the deal happening, readers are also told that the Reds have alternative options:
Liverpool are understood to have a shortlist of four candidates for the position, which also features Olympiakos’ Kostas Tsimikas.
Kostas Tsimikas is a 24-year-old Greek international.
