Chelsea’s summer transfer window just keeps getting better with goalkeeper Edouard Mendy confirmed on Wednesday night.
The Blues have now spent the best part of £300million as part of Frank Lampard’s squad overhaul.
And there may yet be more to come with Declan Rice still linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
But the majority of Chelsea’s remaining business is likely to be outgoings with a number of players being tipped to depart.
Below we get you up to speed with all the latest rumours, starting with that man Rice.
Rice latest
Chelsea are still said to be keen on West Ham star Rice.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Blues now need to offload a host of players before they can go after Rice.
Though, he claims Chelsea very much intend to enter negotiations with West Ham before the window is done.
Romano tweeted: “Chelsea have not made any official bid yet for Declan Rice. Talks on with his agent – but now it’s time to sell/loan out players, then #CFC will open talks on next days with West Ham.
“#WHUFC insist they won’t sell Rice but the player is pushing to join Chelsea.”
Emerson staying put
Emerson Palmieri could be staying put after all.
The defender has been strongly linked with a departure to Serie A with increased competition at left-back following the arrival of Ben Chilwell.
But according to his agent, Emerson is going nowhere, totally focused on Chelsea after starting Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup win over Barnsley.
His agent told Tutto Juve: “I always read that Emerson is close to Juventus, but I can reiterate that there have never been contacts in this transfer window with the bianconero club.
“Right now it’s hard to talk about his farewell, the boy only thinks of Chelsea.”
Arsenal could move for Jorginho
Arsenal are keen on a move for Blues midfielder Jorginho.
That’s according to Sky Sports, who report the Italy international has joined Partey and Aouar on Arsenal’s shortlist.
The Gunners face the prospect of losing Lucas Torreira, who is expected to join Atletico Madrid during this window.
Arsenal boss Arteta is understood to be keen to improve his midfield and experienced midfielder Jorginho could help him achieve that, though it’s unclear whether the Blues are willing to lose him despite the midfielder being linked with a move away throughout this summer.
