The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), yesterday, disclosed that power generation to the national grid has hit 5,459.50 megawatts.

Also, the National Mass Metering Programme (NMMP) will today commence distribution of free meters to Nigerians with the launch of the scheme in Kano, Kaduna, Eko, and Ikeja Distribution Companies (DisCos) franchise areas.
This is in response to President Muhammadu Buhari’s promise to ensure mass metering to end estimated billings in the country’s electricity sector.
The Guardian learned that the distribution would commence in Bawo Road and environs in Kano, Governor’s Road, Tudun Wada in Kaduna, Oshodi Business Unit, Ikeja, Yaba, and Surulere areas of Lagos.
