‘There’s chance Barca can pick themselves up and win something’: Cule calls for optimism

Reddit user and Blaugrana fan Atanas96 comes up with an ‘unpopular opinion’ as the fan puts it, claiming this season could still be a good one for Barcelona.

That’s how this Cule explains it: “I know that Barca is going through some very tough times financially, mentally and even receiving damage to our reputation. However, I still think that there’s chance Barca can pick themselves up and win something this season.”

Clear improvements
“There is certainly an improvement on how our team plays and the way they link up, we had some bad matches and we end up losing some points, but there’s a long way to go and I sincerely think things will take a positive turn.

“I personally noticed some great performance from our team both individually and on a team level, but it just seems something is lacking, which actually might be the self-esteem of our players – I do believe that within 1-2 months Barca become much more dominant on the field.

Other teams struggling as well
“We certainly are enduring tough times, but it seems that all of the other teams are not doing great as well.

“Liverpool, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester United seem to be having tough times as well. I believe that PSG are not in great form either.

“The only team that seems to be staying strong for now is Bayern Munich.”

Conclusion
“My point basically is that our core game is not that bad, and I can see things going in a positive direction so with little more work and boosted morale I think we can be serious rival; against every team.”

Barcelona are doing great in the Champions League so far, winning all 3 matches in their group. However, they are only 8th in La Liga with 11 points in 7 fixtures with 2 games in hand.
