- Former goalkeeper Shaka Hislop urges Zaha to stay in London.
- The Ivorian has been linked with a number of clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea and Man United.
- He had a brief spell at United but it was very unsuccessful.
Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha should rather join Chelsea or Arsenal instead of trying to return to Manchester United. That’s the opinion of former West Ham shot-stopper Shaka Hislop.
“I’m going to put this one down as a miss,” Hislop said on ESPN FC. “Listen, he’s had time at Manchester United, didn’t go so well.
“He’s improved no end as a player since then but given the uncertainty around that first spell and the number of clubs that are interested in Wilfried Zaha, I just have a feeling that he’ll stay closer to London.
“He’s been linked incessantly with Arsenal, between them and Chelsea I think is more likely than United.”
Zaha joined Man United from Crystal Palace in 2013 but his spell at Old Trafford was just one huge disappointment. The Ivorian has recently claimed he has no regrets over the exit from United.
“Obviously, getting to United isn’t easy, so not being given a chance is hard to take,” he said as quoted by the Daily Star. “I don’t regret anything because it made me stronger. I feel as though I can deal with anything now.”
