Burna Boy is set to release his fifth solid studio album, titled ‘Twice as Tall’ later this month.
The album is set to be released on the 14th of August 2020.
Over the past two years, Burna Boy has released three solid bodies of work. According to him, coronavirus was the only thing preventing steps towards a 2020 album.
Already, ‘Wonderful’ has already been released from the album. In the late hours of August 5, 2020, he announced the album via his Instagram page.
The song is set to feature 15 tracks, and there are guest appearances from Naughty by Nature, the Kenyan band Sauti Sol and Senegal’s musical titan, Youssou N’Dour.
“Music is a spiritual thing,” Burna Boy said in an interview via video with The New York Times.
“I’ve never picked up a pen and paper and written down a song in my life,” he said. “It all just comes, like someone is standing there and telling me what to say. It’s all according to the spirits. Some of us are put on this earth to do what we do.”
For his fifth studio album, Burna Boy enlisted an American executive producer: Sean Combs, a.k.a. Diddy, who has long guided rappers and singers toward wider audiences.
