R&B singer Chris Brown has been sued $20million by a woman who claims he allegedly drugged and raped her on a yacht docked at a property in Miami owned by P Diddy.
Rolling Stone reports that the unidentified plaintiff (Jane Doe), a professional choreographer, dancer, model and musician, was invited alongside an unidentified friend to the yacht on 30 December 2021 by a male friend.
The lawsuit notes that while the male friend spoke to Doe on the phone, Brown took the phone from him and told her that “he had heard about her music and urged her to head over to Diddy’s home on Star Island as soon as possible as possible”.
The lawsuit also alleges that Brown had offered Doe a cup with a mixed drink on the yacht. As she drank, he “offered her tips about starting a career in the music industry” and allegedly refilled her cup, after which she became “disoriented, physically unstable, and started to fall in and out of sleep.”
The suit claims that he then led her to a bedroom where Brown closed the door, refusing to let her leave. The complaint further alleged that he undressed and raped her, and after he ejaculated inside her, he announced “he was ‘done’”.
Doe also claims that Brown demanded she take an emergency contraceptive the following day.
Taking to Instagram, Brown responded to the suit, writing, “I HOPE YALL SEE THIS PATTERN OF 🧢 [lying] whenever im releasing music or projects, ‘THEY’ try to pull some real bullshit.”
Ariel E Mitchell Doe’s lawyer told Rolling Stone that they intended to “ensure all parties are held accountable so that we may begin to eradicate this behaviour from our society.”
Since being convicted of felony assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna back in 2009, Chris Brown has found himself in a series of legal trouble.
Back in 2019, a 2woman alleged that the Undecided singer raped her on the night of January. 15-16th after meeting at a nightclub in France.
The R&B singer is set to release his 10th album, Breezy, later this year, which he said he intends to let the music “talk to women’s soul”.
