R&B singer Chris Brown is facing a lawsuit after allegedly assaulting a man at a London nightclub earlier this year.
According to the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Abe Diaw claims that Brown hit him over the head with a bottle of Don Julio 1942 tequila at the TAPE nightclub in February. Diaw alleges that Brown then continued to kick him while he was lying on the ground.
Diaw says that he suffered multiple injuries in the assault, including a concussion, a broken nose, and several cuts and bruises. He is seeking unspecified damages in the lawsuit.
Brown has not yet commented on the lawsuit.
This is not the first time that Brown has been accused of assault. In 2009, he was convicted of felony assault for beating up his then-girlfriend, Rihanna. He was sentenced to five years of probation and six months of community service. Brown has also been accused of assault on several other occasions, but the charges have either been dropped or he has been acquitted.
The lawsuit against Brown comes at a time when he is trying to rebuild his career. However, the lawsuit could derail his comeback efforts. If he is found guilty of assault, he could face jail time and a fine. The case is still in its early stages, and it is unclear when it will go to trial.
