Controversial Nigerian rapper, Naira Marley, has finally dropped the official music video of his explicit song ‘Coming’ featuring South African singer, Busiswa.
The video as expected contains some racy scenes just like the lyrics. As of the time of this reporting, the video has garnered over 320k views on YouTube.
After the release of the song in March, it got banned barely 24 hours later by the Nigeria Broadcasting Communication (NBC) because of the explicit lyrics it contains.
Taking to Twitter to react to the sudden ban of the song despite the notice that it was rated 18, the 29-year-old wrote; “Wait they banned my song (coming) already? Haaa”
In another tweet, the “soapy” crooner wrote; “Oh it’s not banned yh? Okay I’m #COMING let me fvck shii upppp”
Naira Marley also said that there is no way the lyrics of the song could be censored as any attempt will end up with just beats as almost all the lyrics are vulgar.
However, when the song which Nigerians bashed him for topped Audiomack and Apple Music, Naira Marley called out Nigerians on their supposed hypocrisy.
According to the ‘Koleyewon’ crooner, everybody loves sex in Nigeria but lies about it. He also pointed out the irony that the song is number one on music platforms despite the fact that he received backlash and was told nobody would listen to it.
Via Instagram, he wrote; “I released a sex song called “coming” in a country where everybody loves sex and lies about it and people think I’m stupid. Nobody’s listening to “coming” apparently but it’s on number 1. I come in peace sha”
