gonna do, it’s show support for an up-and-coming artist she believes in. We saw this recently with her “Princess Diana (Remix)” collaboration with Ice Spice, but that’s not the only verse the Queen of Rap was willing to hand out this spring. This New Music Friday (May 26), she joined Sexyy Red and Tay Keith for “Pound Town 2,” which features some of Minaj’s most salacious bars in recent memory.
Sexyy Red published a kind comment from a mother of one on her Instagram after she gave the response to the song some time to quiet down. “Barbz!!! Omggggg!!!! This awesome new partnership has me giddy. Chile, I won’t have this ratchet in a minute! ENJOY!!!!!!” began Minaj. “I met Sexyy Red and thought she was really kind and down to earth. When I let go and chose to just have fun with a horrible b, I was able to hear myself on this song for the first time. I absolutely adore how it turned out!”

In her own caption, Red wrote back, “Thank you @nickiminaj this made me blush lol. I love you bih, [I don’t know] what [y’all be] thinkin’ about her sayin’ she mean.” The rising rap diva cautioned her followers not to believe the gossip online, revealing that the “Moment 4 Life” artist is “sweet and very nurturing.” On top of providing her new friend with a fire verse, Minaj apparently also gave her “great advice that [she’s going to] remember foreva.”
Other features we’ve heard from the Trinidadian so far in 2023 include “Alone” with Kim Petras, “WTF” alongside NBA YoungBoy, and of course, her own “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” single, which she recently shared an accompanying music video for.
