Taylor Swift got glammed up in custom couture looks, including a white bridal gown in her new Blake Lively-directed music video for I Bet You Think About Me.
The singer released the glam-looks filled video for the “from the vault” single on Monday, after the release of her 30-track “Red (Taylor’s Version)” album last week.
The colourful clip depicts the 31-year-old popstar crashing the wedding of an ex-boyfriend played by Miles Teller, standing out in a series of bright red outfits.
The singer makes her entrance into the wedding scene dressed as a waiter, wearing a red custom coat and cap along with matching Louboutin shoes and Nakard earrings. Next, she changes into a sculptural Tadashi Shoji gown to sink her fingers into the wedding cake.
Once she’s caught, the singer takes on the roles of both the best man and flower girl, sporting a floral-embellished dress followed by a red-suited style.
Swift pushed the Red theme even further in a later role gifting the bride the iconic red “All Too Well” knit scarf ($35) from her recent merchandise collection.
The Red music video will be incomplete without a nod to the diamond-studded Cathy Waterman ring Swift wore while writing her seminal 2012 studio album. The star wears this ring on her middle finger as a flower girl in the music video.
Worthy of note is the one look that wasn’t red. Swift wore a strapless Nicole + Felicia couture wedding gown, complete with a floral adorned train and Converse high-tops – which were, in fact, scarlet-coloured — hidden underneath.
Fans speculate that the bridal design could be Swift tying the knot with her longtime boyfriend, Joe Alwyn.
The music video for I Bet You Think About Me comes a few days after she released a short film to accompany her 10-minute version of “All Too Well.” The highly-anticipated track hints at the reason for her breakup with ex Jake Gyllenhaal, whom she dated in 2010.
