Finally, the fans will be able to see the great chemistry of Sam Wilson (Falcon) and Bucky Barnes(Winter Soldier), as Disney+ has announced that it will be creating a 6-episode series known as The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Malcolm Spellman has been tapped to write The Falcon and the Winter Soldier for Disney.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: Release date
The show was confirmed in April 2019 by Disney and then delayed to August 2020, but due to the pandemic, the date isn’t yet confirmed.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: Cast
Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan will reprise their roles as Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes in the show. Also, other familiar faces from Captain America: Civil War, Daniel Bruhl, and Emily VanCamp will be seen in the show.
Bruhl played Helmut Zemo, and a Sokovian citizen turned terrorist mastermind who, in Civil War, engineered the rift between Tony Stark and Steve Rogers. Emily VanCamp played Sharon Carter, SHIELD agent, and grandniece of Peggy Carter. Steve Rogers has kissed both, the sick freak.
Disney also revealed that Wyatt Russell would play John Walker, better known to Marvel Fans as the troubled US Agent. This character will probably give them the main lead heroes a tough time.
Desmond Chiam and Mishi Ishikawa are also joining the cast of the show.
Updates On The Storyline
The show is based on the Marvel Comic characters Falcon and Winter Soldier, created by the late Stan Lee.
The story will be based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and all events in the series will be set after the film Avengers: Endgame, which was released in April 2019.
Sam will be seen handling the mantle of Captain America, as Steve Rogers in Avengers: Endgame gave his shield to his trustworthy friend Sam Wilson.
Also, the show will tell us about the US government not able to accept Sam Wilson as the new Captain America. But the new Captain America goes rogue, and Baron Zemo also breaks out from the prison. It is when Sam and Bucky Barnes are called for help as they tackle all the problems in their path.
There are very high chances that Captain America (Chris Evans) makes a cameo in ‘The Falcon and Winter Soldier’ series. Disney would not leave any chance to make it successful, and fans want to see more of Captain America (Chris Evans) after Avengers: Endgame.
