The Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Nigeria, Ambassador Ketil Karlsen has said the EU has invested over 200m Euros in the health sector in Nigeria between 2002 and 2019.
The envoy, speaking during End of Project Dissemination Seminar on European Union Support to Immunisation Governance (EU-SIGN), observed that the EU decided to invest millions of dollars in immunising Nigerian children to enable them grow healthy and have the opportunities they need to carry the society forward.
Karlsen commended Nigeria for achieving three years without a case of Wild Polio Virus. He stressed the need for government to adopt an integrated approach to ensure that people live in peace and stability.
He said government at all levels must ensure that budgetary allocations are made with overall integrated vision on how to take the country forward.
