Hon. Suleiman Danbaba Ismail, a member of the Nasarawa Assembly representing the Nasarawa Central State Constituency, has been kidnapped by gunmen suspected of being kidnappers.
Danbaba was kidnapped on Saturday evening, May 29, while traveling to Jos, Plateau state, for an official function, according to reports.
Hon Mohammed Omadefu, Chairman of the Nasarawa Assembly Comm ittee on Information, confirmed the incident to The Nation, saying it happened in a forest in Kaduna’s Sanga local government area.
According to him, the lawmaker was passing through Andaha in Nasarawa State’s Akwanga local government area on his way to the forest area in Kaduna’s Sanga local government area when he was ambushed and kidnapped.
The Chairman of the Nasarawa Assembly Committee on Information has stated that the kidnappers have made contact with the Assembly however they haven’t made any demands yet.
