A man identified as Jonathan Lewis, has found a sinister doll with a murder note hidden in the wall of his new house.
The 32-year-old who works as a primary school teacher, was carrying out some electrical repairs in his house and knocked through a wall to investigate an exposed wire, when he found the rag doll sitting on a wooden chair.
Speaking in a chat with Liverpool Echo, Jonathan said,
“I kind of knew there was this void underneath the stairs that had been plaster-boarded up.
“There was a wire coming out where the previous owners had the fridge but I didn’t know where the wire was plugged in so I knocked through a bit of the plasterboard to see what was there.
“I knocked through a hole about the size of a fist, shone a light in and there was a doll just sitting there”.
He brought out the rag doll which had yellow braids and found a chilling note on it’s laps.
The note reads,
“Dear reader, thank you for freeing me! My name is Emily.
“My original owners lived in this house in 1961. I didn’t like them, so they had to go.
“All they did was sing and be merry. It was sickening. Stabbing was my choice of death for them so I hope you have knives. Hope you sleep well.”
Jonathan who had only just moved into the property in Walton, Liverpool, has been advised to move out as soon as possible, but he said he’s not going anywhere because the note is a prank.
- “Some friends told me to put the house back on the market and move,” he revealed, “but I think it’s just a joke.”
