A man in his 60s, Vincent Enwewende, diagnosed with clinical features of bladder outlet obstruction, seeks the public’s help to undergo an operation at the cost of N1 million.

According to a medical report from Tolu Medical Centre, Apapa, where Enwewende has spent N272,200 in tests and remedial treatment, he also has features of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), also called prostate enlargement, a non-cancerous increase in size of the prostate gland.

He said: “The problem started in 2013 and I have since then been spending money on it to relieve me of the severe pain. I was retrenched about six years ago as a result of my ailment. Currently, I have been financially drained. I don’t have any money again, which is why I am seeking the public’s support. Tolu Medical Centre referred me to the Federal Medical Centre, Ebute-Meta, since they can’t handle it.

“The doctor attending to me in Ebute-Meta hospital told me that I will undergo a surgery so that I will be well, but the amount is too much for me and my family. My health is the most important now. I am appealing to Nigerians for financial assistance so I can regain my health.”
