As the grand opening for Shibuya PARCO looms near, a squadron of retailers have been announcing their move into the new building. One such company to occupy a spot is Nintendo, who will be opening the doors to its first-ever Nintendo store in Japan.
The shop will be called Nintendo TOKYO and will be stocking a slew of exclusive merch and games, alongside demo stations and other novelties. Some of Nintendo’s most iconic characters, like Mario, Splatoon‘s Incling, Shizue and Murabi from Animal Crossing and Link from Legend of Zelda, will be emblazoned across pillows, bags, mugs, pens and stickers. There will also be two graphic tees in the colors of red and grey, glossed with “Nintendo TOKYO” branding, while other pieces like shiny enamel pins, keychains and calendars round up the merch. According to Nintendo, the store will act as the main outpost for any news and announcements for Japan.
Nintendo TOKYO will host a pre-opening between November 20 – 21, where 500 lucky goers will have a chance to enter the shop two days before Shibuya PARCO’s grand opening. Applications are currently open at nintendo.co.jp until November 4. Keep it locked here for more news as the grand opening approaches.
