“If Barca sign Messi, his salary will be less than what it is at PSG [€30m net per year], and his comeback depends on player sales,” La Liga president Javier Tebas has told the media, via Diario Sport.
“I think that Barca will get some big money from selling players this summer,” he also added.
It’s pleasing to finally hear something positive from Tebas. Earlier, he would only make it clear that the Argentine’s comeback would be too complicated.
Barcelona reportedly have shown La Liga their ‘sustainability plan’ that includes Messi’s future registration and the departure of some big players. This is what the club will seemingly try to pull off in the summer.
The club reportedly offer Messi a salary of €13m net per year which is almost three times less than what he earns at PSG.
